I’ll be arriving in the Northwest this weekend for my second monthly trip and plan to be in the Puyallup area from Sunday Mar 8th to (at least) Sunday Mar 15th continuing my search for interested people to form a local core group to develop at least one cohousing community on my farm. Here’s the latest:
I’m planning site tours for both Sundays: Mar 8th at 3:00PM and Mar 15th at a time TBD depending on replies. If you are interested in a site tour, please RSVP by email to email@example.com. Include how many people want to come and a phone number capable of receiving a text message...Last time, texting was valuable in coordinating things at the last minute. Be prepared for walking in the rain and maybe even a little bit of mud.
If Sundays don’t work for you, let me know if there would be a better time and I’ll see what I can arrange. Plan on meeting at the large parking lot on the south side of the Puyallup Library. The street address for the library is 324 S Meridian, Puyallup. The library and parking lot are adjacent to Pioneer Park in downtown Puyallup, near the building where the farmers market happens. It’s ~3 miles/10 minutes to the farm from there and we’ll carpool.
Film about Cohousing: “The Best of Both Worlds”
The planned showing of the film by it’s producer, John de Graaf, and the University of Washington got postponed indefinitely. Never fear: I’ve got a “licensed for public performance” version of the film from the distributor on DVD, and plan to use it either as an educational tool for those that are less familiar with Cohousing or just as an excuse to get together and talk cohousing. I plan to follow up with several people that expressed interest from last trip and arrange showings to individuals and groups as needed. If you are interested in seeing the film hit ‘reply’ to this email and let me know. Probably best to include a phone number so we can discuss times/dates/places that would work best.
If you want to buy a personal copy for yourself, send a request and a check for $31.00 to McCamant & Durrett Architects, 241B Commercial Street, Nevada City, CA 95959
I’ll be following up on the various opportunities from last months trip and exploring the new ones that have come up in the last few weeks.
